One fateful day, the world was hit by a gravitational shift. No one knows what brought it to fruition, but everything changed. Cities were uprooted, towns were destroyed, people lost from the destruction. Our protagonist is one of the few who survived.

He swears to undo what was done, swears to undo the gravitational shift. He and his friend have been travelling and trying to figure out what caused this, with a new group of people being their main targets, a group going city to city forcing order. The protagonist and ally have studied these gravitational fields. Their leads bring them to the base of OCTAVE.
